With Fjord cruise on Åkrafjorden get that passenger scenery like pearls on a string. The contrasts along the fjord is great: here you will see water surging down valleys in a quiet inlet between bare, steep rock walls and lush hillsides. The highlight is of course Langfoss.
Røvær is a small island community located west for Haugesund accessible by a 20 minute ferry or boat ride. It is a unique and charming little island community with 110 inhabitants and only one car. On Røvær you will experience a calmness which you will not find in the city, and you will be surrounded by the islands nature and stillness.
About 10 minutes walk from Nordvegen History Center and St. Olav's Church at Avaldsnes you find Viking village. The village is rebuilt on the basis of archaeological finds made in Rogaland. There you can visit the Long House, Round House, Pit house and boathouse. These evocative and honored surroundings provides an immediate feeling of being back in the Viking Age.
Valhall is play center for adults where you get challenged with many different activities. We have everything from climbing wall, wipe out and surfboards to sumo fotball and velcro wall. If you want a day of fun and games you should head to Valhall. Open Thursday to Sunday.
Old Skudeneshavn is one of the best preserved ancient cities in Europe and was once a sheltered harbor for sailing ships.
If you want to see more of Haugalandet you should try our RIB rides. In July and August we have set days where we run out RIB boats. We get out to Haugalandets distinctive islands where we tell stories along the way.
